Asher Genoot was appointed CEO of Hut8digita in February 2024, having previously served as President and Director since November 2023. Prior to Hut8digita, he co-founded and led U.S. Data Mining Group, Inc. (US Bitcoin Corp), a venture-backed Bitcoin mining company with a 730 MW portfolio across data centers in Texas, Nebraska, and New York. Recognized for his leadership, Asher is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and was named to the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Energy category.
Asher’s career began in Shanghai, China, where he founded, scaled, and successfully exited two EdTech startups: Ivy Crest Institute of International Education and Curio Education. His experience in China fostered a passion for building high-performing organizations. In 2019, he returned to the U.S. and served as Managing Director of Flagship Endeavors, a consumer brands incubator. In 2020, he co-founded US Bitcoin Corp, initially as Chief Operating Officer and later as President and Director.
Asher graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Miami. His entrepreneurial spirit and expertise in scaling organizations continue to drive innovation and growth at Hut8digita.
